Sacraments of Baptism, Marriage, And Burial
Baptism
Membership in the Christian Church comes through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. Baptism is available to those of all ages, including infants. Baptisms are generally held four times a year. A time of preparation for adults or parents of infants is required.
Marriage
The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony will be made available to members, children of members, and those who desire membership in the church. St. Matthew's is not a wedding chapel. We do not "do" weddings; we prepare couples for life-long marriage. Pre-marital classes are required. Divorced persons must receive permission from the Bishop to be married in the church.
Burial
Christian burial is made available to all baptized Christians. Arrangements must be made with the Rector. The parish has a Columbarium for the committal of ashes.
