How can I become a member? The Episcopal Church recognizes as Christians all persons who have been baptized with water in the name of the Holy Trinity. All baptized persons are members of the universal Body of Christ, the ChurchThere are two ways to become a member of the Episcopal Church: If baptized in another Christian community, a letter of transfer, a baptismal certificate or similar evidence, will allow you to become a member of an Episcopal congregation. You do not have to be re-baptized. Inquirers and Confirmation ClassesIf you are interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church -- worship, history, beliefs -- you are encouraged to attend one of two Adult Inquirers' Classes taught by the Rector in the spring and fall. These classes are provided with the intent of sharing our faith experience with you and with a hope that you might come to seek God in your own faith journey. You are encouraged to worship with us during this time of study and reflection. The youth of the parish go through a confirmation process within the Christian Education Program. Following this adult series, the opportunity for Confirmation or Reception by the Bishop is made available. Please contact Fr. Craig Gavin with any questions at 435-2226, or e-mail cgavin@windstream.net |
